Duties and responsibilities
- Reviewing and investigating complaints from customers regarding potential violations of laws or regulations by businesses.
- Preparing inspections and compliance files suitable for use in courts of law, if necessary.
- Recommending deployments of compliance officers, inspectors and closely monitoring such deployments;
- Conducting training sessions on ethics, inspection and compliance policies and procedures,and relevant laws and regulations to employees who have been hired to have a specific role in the Commission’s compliance program.
- Working closely with internal and external legal counsel to develop policies and procedures as well as training materials to be used throughout the organization.
- Identifying and detecting emerging risks, mitigating factors and opportunities.
Qualifications, experience and competencies
- Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Law, Police and Security Studies or Business-related field or equivalent from a recognized institution;
- At least 5 years’ experience involving investigation of economic crimes or consumer Infringements of which 3 years should be at supervisory level ;
- Self-starter with ability to work under pressure and beyond stipulated hours.
- Unquestionable integrity and commitment to duty.
- Good analytical skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Results oriented
